What is Awana?

Awana is a Bible-centered children’s ministry focused on reaching kids with the gospel and training them to serve Him.  The word Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.

Children's Worship

The Children's Ministry of Edgewood Baptist Church provides opportunities for children to participate in various Christ-centered activities and events in addition to the regularly scheduled Sunday School, Discipleship Training Classes, Music, and Missions organizations.  Each Sunday children age 4 through age 7 meet for Children's Worship.  This service is filled with songs and exciting Bible lessons all designed to provide a meaningful worship experience for children.  Other activities are open to children such as camps, retreats, half-day Monday activities, weekly summer activities, and much more.

There are many Sunday School classes available for children of all ages Sunday mornings at 9:15am.

Wednesday night activities begin with a Church Family Supper at 5:30pm.  RA's and GA's begin at 6:30pm for children grades 1-5.
