Edgewood Baptist Church is actively involved in missions, both through service projects and financially. The concept of missions in used by Southern Baptists to express a part of the church's work in fulfilling their total mission. Each of our Women on Mission groups has its own unique mission action, study and support projects. Collectively we provide leadership for special mission projects of the church and interpret and educate the membership in the areas of local, state, home, and foreign missions. We also lead the way emphasizing the importance of Christian stewardship as it relates to mission offerings. The groups are always open for new members, with new groups being formed as members desire and need arises. We have four Women on Mission organizations that meet once a month. We also have an active Baptist Men's organization that meets quarterly for Sunday breakfast in fellowship hall. Our program of mission education and action also includes our preschoolers and children in our Mission Friends, Girls in Action, and Royal Ambassador programs.
